FürstenfeldTchibo's success story began in 1949 with the idea of Hamburg merchant Max Herz to send coffee by post - packaged in practical coffee tins or tea towels. Over time, the wide range of coffee is expanded to include exclusive household, home decor, fashion and sports products. The first Tchibo store opened in Hamburg in 1955, followed by the first Austrian store in Vienna in 1969. There are now over 1000 worldwide. There are also online stores in 9 European countries. Today, tchibo.at is one of the most successful online stores in Austria and offers its customers new collections week after week - always different, always new.
